Look Dish helps people save recipes, plan meals, manage shopping lists, and use AI cooking tools. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details such as your name, email address, and password hash.
- Recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, pantry items, and dietary preferences you save in Look Dish.
- Images or files you choose to upload, such as recipe screenshots or receipt images, for processing features you request.
- Subscription and billing status information from payment providers such as Stripe.
- Basic technical information needed to keep the service secure and working properly.
- Anonymous usage events, the page viewed, the referring website domain, and campaign labels in links such as source, medium, and campaign name.
How we use information

- To provide recipe import, AI Chef, pantry, shopping, and planning features.
- To personalise suggestions based on your food preferences and saved content.
- To process subscriptions, vouchers, and account access.
- To improve reliability, prevent misuse, and support customers.
AI features
When you use AI features, the recipe, pantry, receipt, or prompt data needed to complete your request may be processed by third-party AI service providers. We only use this information to carry out the feature you asked for.
Privacy-conscious analytics
We use first-party, cookie-free analytics to understand whether people can find and successfully use Look Dish. Analytics records contain only an event name, page path, an anonymous code that lasts for the current page load, the referring website domain, campaign labels from the link, and limited non-content details such as the number of pantry items added.
Analytics records do not contain your name, email address, IP address, full referring URL, pantry contents, receipt contents, recipe contents, or AI conversations. We do not place an analytics cookie or create a persistent advertising identifier. Analytics collection is disabled when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
Payments
Look Dish does not store full card details. Payments and subscriptions are handled by trusted payment providers such as Stripe, subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Sharing and households
If you join a shared household in Look Dish, recipes, meal plans, and related kitchen data may be visible to linked household members.
Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Your choices
- You can update account details and food preferences inside the app.
- You can cancel or pause your subscription in line with the available billing settings.
- You can contact support to request help with your account or data.
